Dealer courses
Northern Lights Casino runs its own dealer courses. This page only sends your request on.
What the course covers
- The table and the tools. Chips, cards, shuffling, and how a table is laid out.
- Blackjack. Dealing a hand, hit and stand, and paying out.
- Poker. Omaha and Hold'em: running a hand and handling the pot.
- Money at the table. Counting, cutting and keeping the game straight.
- Talking with players. Table manners, and recognizing when someone needs a break.
Practice happens at a table, with the two table games on this floor: Blackjack and Poker. The course runs over several weeks of sessions. Ask the casino for dates and class size.
Who can apply
You need to be at least 18, the age to be on this casino's gaming floor, and to have a valid picture ID that shows it. For anything beyond that, ask the casino.
